Cant seem to install or configure it properly. keep getting problem populating database errors. can anyone help?

Try running the script configs/createdb.php If this fixes the issue, then the problem has been resolved already in the trunk. Otherwise copy and paste more exactly the errors and I'll try to recreate the problem here.
